ProxyScrape is a popular proxy provider that specializes in proxies for web scraping, including for LLMs. The company was founded in 2018 and is officially registered in Belgium.

Registration

To get started, you need to register. To do this, go to https://proxyscrape.com/ and click the "Sign up" button located in the top right corner. After that, register using the standard Login/Password form or through quick registration via Google.

After registering on the website, you can proceed to purchase proxies or use the free proxies for 7 days. But first, let’s look at what types of proxies ProxyScrape offers. Previously, we covered: Types of proxies and tips on how to choose the right one.

Free Proxies

After registration, you will get access to 100 shared datacenter proxies for 7 days with a traffic usage limit of 10 GB. In the free trial version, only the HTTP connection protocol is available, while SOCKS5 becomes available only after purchase.

Important: To use the free proxies, you need to whitelist your IP address; otherwise, the proxies will not work. To do this, click on the "IP Authentication" menu item, then click the "Add new IP" button and enter your IP address.

Rotating Residential Proxies

Residential proxies are proxies of real users, which is why they are considered the most optimal choice for web scraping, as they have a huge IP pool and high anonymity. Residential proxies support geo-targeting by country, state, or city. ProxyScrape has a massive IP pool of more than 55 million IP addresses.

The price depends on the purchase volume and the purchase period. The more you need, the lower the cost per 1 GB will be, and the longer the period you need the traffic for, the higher the cost will be.

Unlimited Residential Proxies

Unlimited residential proxies are the same rotating residential proxies, but in this case, you pay not for the traffic used, but for bandwidth. There is also a smaller number of IP addresses available, around 4 million. Usually, unlimited residential proxies are used when you need to collect a huge volume of data, for example for LLMs, and paying for bandwidth is more cost-effective than paying for traffic.

The price depends on the purchase period and bandwidth. Servers are located in New York and Ashburn.

Premium Datacenter Proxies

Under premium datacenter proxies, they actually offer shared datacenter proxies. Their advantage is that they are stable, affordable, and come with unlimited traffic. The downside is that they have a limited IP pool and lower anonymity, so they are usually used for automation, testing, or web scraping from websites with low bot protection.

The minimum purchase is 1,000 proxies, but the price is very low, starting at just $25 per month. You can purchase them from 1 day up to 1 month, and from 1,000 to 40,000 proxies. The price depends on the location, purchase period, and number of IP addresses.

Dedicated Datacenter Proxies

These are datacenter proxies where the IP addresses belong only to you. They are more expensive than shared datacenter proxies but are considered more stable and faster since they are used only by you. The minimum purchase starts from 5 proxies, the location is only the USA, traffic is unlimited, and you pay only per IP address. The price depends on the number of IP addresses in the order. Such proxies are usually used for QA testing and automation.

Rotating Mobile Proxies

These are proxies with IP addresses from mobile carriers. Essentially, they are like premium rotating residential proxies but with a limited IP pool. They are considered more stable and anonymous than residential proxies, but due to the limited number of IP addresses available per day, they are better suited for consistent daily data collection.

The price depends on the purchase volume and the number of days the purchased traffic will be available. Available locations are only the USA, United Kingdom, and Austria.

Purchasing Proxies

You can purchase proxies from your dashboard by clicking the "Add Service" button or from the main page. Notably, if you click the "Add Service" button, mobile proxies will not appear in the list. Therefore, if you need to purchase mobile proxies specifically, you need to open their main page, then open the "Services" menu item and select mobile proxies from the list.

After selecting the desired pricing plan and purchase period, you can proceed to payment. To do this, choose your preferred payment method and fill in all the required information.

By the way, please note that if you are purchasing premium datacenter proxies (shared proxies), then you need to configure everything in advance.
