We checked 17 mobile proxy providers in our catalog, and 7 of them let you choose a 5G port at checkout, in 12 countries between them. A 5G port costs from $65 for 30 days in Romania to $264 in Germany, $135 at the median across the 12 countries, and $130-250 in the US. We went through each provider's order form, and the prices below were checked in September 2026.
Key findings
- 5G is a Western market. 11 of the 12 countries are in the EU, the UK and North America. The only other one is Georgia, and that port is often out of stock.
- From the same provider, 5G costs 2-3 times as much. $180 against $65 for a US port at Proxy Seller, $170 against $60 at Geonix, $149 against $70.90 in Georgia at MobileProxy. ProxyWing is the exception, with 5G at the price of its other US ports.
- The label does not guarantee the speed. One provider sells 5G plans capped at 10 Mbps next to 5G ports on a dedicated router, and in the UK "true 5G" plans come with 300 GB for 30 days.
- 5G changes speed, not trust. A 5G subscriber gets a public IP from the same carrier network as a 4G one, so sites treat them the same.
- 5 more providers advertise 4G/5G but have no 5G option on the order form.

How much a 5G port costs
In Europe
In France, Spain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands 5G ports cost $95-195, and the order of providers barely changes from country to country. Geonix is the cheapest wherever it sells, ProxyShard leads where Geonix is absent, and CyberYozh is the most expensive in four of the five. Two countries sit outside that range: Romania, at $65-67 the cheapest 5G anywhere, and Germany on Deutsche Telekom at $264, the most expensive.
In the US
The five providers with US 5G ports ask from $130 to $250, and the gap is almost twofold for what looks like the same product. Three things explain most of it. The hardware: CyberYozh's $130 port runs on a dedicated Android phone and its $162 one on a dedicated 5G router. The carrier choice: ProxyEmpire's $250 package is Verizon only but spans 50 US locations. And the provider's pricing: ProxyWing charges $145 for any US port, 5G or not.
All three national carriers are covered. T-Mobile and AT&T 5G are sold by four providers each (CyberYozh, ProxyWing, Geonix and Proxy Seller), and Verizon by all five. CyberYozh names the city on each US 5G port, in 12 states plus Oregon/Washington, and ProxyEmpire covers 50 US locations on Verizon.
Against 4G
Where a provider sells both, its 5G port costs 2.1-2.8 times its cheapest port. ProxyWing is the only provider where the choice of 5G costs nothing extra.
What you get with a 5G port
A mobile proxy port is a SIM card in a device on the provider's premises: a USB modem, a router or a phone. Your traffic goes through that device and leaves through the carrier's network, so websites see a carrier IP. What "5G" changes in that chain, and what it does not, decides whether the premium is worth paying.
Speed and latency
5G adds bandwidth on the radio link between the device and the cell tower. Through a proxy that link is one of several: your connection to the provider's server, the provider's link to the device, the radio link and the carrier's network. The slowest one sets the speed, so a 5G SIM only helps when the rest of the chain can carry more than 4G would. That is why the plan matters more than the label. The same provider sells 5G ports on a dedicated 5G router, described as very high speed, and 5G plans with "speed up to 10 Mbps", a limit many 4G ports exceed.
Latency improves less than bandwidth. The radio link is only part of the round trip, and each request still crosses the provider's server and the carrier's core before it reaches the site.
Trust and blocks
Sites avoid blocking mobile IPs because carriers put many subscribers behind one public address (CGNAT), and a block would hit real customers along with you. That works the same on 4G and 5G: the public IP comes from the same carrier network, and a site cannot tell a 5G subscriber from a 4G one by the address. If a 4G mobile proxy gets blocked on a site, a 5G one from the same carrier will not fix it.
Device fingerprint
Anti-fraud systems look beyond the IP. Passive fingerprinting (p0f and similar tools) reads the operating system from TCP/IP packet headers and compares it with the browser's User-Agent. A proxy on a Linux router carries a Linux TCP fingerprint, which does not match a Windows or iPhone browser. That is why CyberYozh lets you change the p0f fingerprint on its 5G router ports, and why ports on real Android phones exist: their traffic already looks like a phone.
UDP
HTTP/3 runs over UDP. A proxy that carries only TCP forces the browser back to HTTP/2 over TCP. If you run browsers or VPN clients through the port, check for UDP support: CyberYozh lists it on its 5G ports.
Coverage
A 5G SIM connects to 5G only where the carrier has 5G on the cell the device sits on, and falls back to 4G elsewhere. A provider that names the city and the carrier gives you something to check against the carrier's coverage map. A plan that just says "4G/5G" does not.
How to test a 5G port before you commit
Refund windows are short, 24 hours at Proxy Seller, Geonix and CyberYozh, so run these checks right after you get the port:
- Carrier. Look up the exit IP in an IP database: the network (ASN) should belong to the carrier you paid for, and the connection type should be mobile.
- Speed. Run several speed tests through the proxy at different times of day. One good result says little: a cell's speed drops when it is busy.
- IP change. Trigger a rotation and time how long the new IP takes to come up, and check that it stays with the same carrier.
- Fingerprint. Open a fingerprint checker through the proxy and compare the detected OS with your browser.
- The real job. Run your actual task on the port next to a 4G port from the same provider. If the 5G port does not do it faster, the premium buys nothing.

Providers that advertise 5G but don't let you choose it
Proxidize, NinjasProxy, IPRoyal, Proxy-Cheap and Proxy-Solutions describe their mobile proxies as 4G/5G, but none of them has a 5G option on the order form. You get whatever network the device connects to. If 5G matters for your work, buy from the providers above, or ask support before paying and run the speed checks above during the refund window.

Is a 5G mobile proxy worth it?
For most mobile proxy jobs, no. Account work, logins, posting and checks move a few megabytes per session, and a 4G port gives the same carrier IP and the same trust at about half the price.
5G pays off when one port has to carry a lot of traffic: video and ad verification with media, heavy pages, many parallel sessions or a VPN for a whole device. Then choose by the plan rather than the name: a named 5G carrier and city, a stated speed or a dedicated 5G router, unlimited traffic, and UDP if you need it. Start with one port for 30 days, run it next to a 4G port on the same job, and buy more only if the difference shows.
